He sprays from a side-by-side with a quiet 12V unit, chosen so it won't spook horses. His speed is calibrated so the exact amount lands where it should, no more and no less.

No. Dave uses a selective herbicide registered for pastures. It targets broadleaf weeds and leaves grasses unaffected. It can damage legumes such as clover and lucerne, so let Dave know if your paddock relies on them.

Dave uses herbicides approved for pastures, with a nil withholding period when applied at the label rate. Your horses can stay in the paddock while he works, though he recommends keeping them off until the spray has dried, which doesn't take long. If your paddock has weeds that are toxic to horses, Dave will point them out. Some become more tempting once sprayed, so horses should be kept away from them until they die off.

Dave won't spray if rain is likely within an hour. He keeps an eye on the forecast and will reschedule if the weather isn't right.

Yes, with an organic liquid fertiliser containing humates, humic acid, carbon and potassium. Dave chooses a lower-nitrogen product than most quick-fix paddock fertilisers, because he believes that's better for horses. It can be applied while horses are grazing. Weeds are always treated first, with fertiliser following a few weeks later, because there's no point feeding the weeds. The two can't be done on the same visit.

Weeds grow year round in South East Queensland, so spraying happens all year. Fertilising is best from September to May.

Every job is priced by Dave personally, based on the size of the area and your location. There are no hidden extras, and sending a photo of your paddock helps him quote quickly.

Horse paddocks are the focus, though Dave also treats paddocks for sheep, goats and other livestock, as well as larger grounds such as sports fields. Minimum job size is 1 acre. He doesn't do garden beds or lawns, and very steep slopes may not be suitable.
